Data
provided by FL DCA via the Florida Geographic Data Library was a shapefile containing wind speed lines in
Geographic
Coordinates, that were used to create Figures
1609.3(1), 1609.3(2), & 1609.3(3) (Section
1609 Wind Loads).
That
data was clipped to the county boundary, and the
projection was changed to the county standard, SPC, FL E,
NAD
83. That data was then employed to create this polygon
shape file that is used for parcel status identification in
Volusia
County’s AMANDA Permitting System. This data is for general planning purposes
only and does not
represent a survey.

WIND-BORNE DEBRIS REGION. Areas within hurricane
prone regions located:
1.
Within
1 mile (1.61 km) of the coastal mean high water line where the ultimate
Design
wind speed Vult is 130 mph (58 m/s) or greater; or
2.
In
areas where the ultimate design wind speed Vult is
140 mph (63.6 m/s) or greater
